In a few years we'll get better position, distance and spectrum data about galaxies from Euclid: https://www.universetoday.com/165755/euc...k-universe-Curve Rush. Not the full sky, just 1/3 of the sky outside of the Milky Way, but it's still something.
"An initial deep sky data set will be released in Spring 2025, and data from the first year of the general survey will be released in Summer 2026."

By 2025 we will have improved location, distance, and spectrum data. A few years from now.
